That's smoked trout in the salad, and the potatoes, known as ratte, are from my in-laws' garden. There was a homemade mustard vinaigrette to go with it of course.Imagine our further surprise when the dessert was served! It's a new invention, we called it Apple Crumble Tatin (a tatin is an upside down pie)

I never know what he will bring out of the kitchen next, but it's guaranteed to be delicious!.
