Lucy and Loic came over for dinner last night. Love hanging out with them, we have so much in common. Foreign wives married to French husbands. Gives Lucy and I a lot to talk about and compare, and the guys a lot to shake their heads over. Plus we can have a bi-lingual evening without anyone feeling left out since we all speak both languages. Lucas prepared a delicious beef roast, with sauteed cèpe mushrooms and fluffy mashed potatoes. All this accompanied by a special St. Joseph wine, Les Grisières. Here are some photo highlights
Yesterday was also National Scrapbooking Day (yes it does exist!) but that's for another post!

Loic and I both had a great time, thank you soo much! Lucas' beef and the mushrooms were just amazing - the shallots added the perfect touch. The wine that you served us at apero was really lovely and I adored the St. Joseph. I will dream of the chausson full of warm fruit for weeks to come. The meal was simply perfect.
It looks like you had a wonderful time together. I love those evenings together with friends and nice food.
