Seeing Red

The boys from Trinidad & Tobago made all West Indians proud today in their first ever World Cup match against Sweden. They were definitely considered the underdogs, even at the end of the match when they held Sweden to a 0-0 draw playing with only 10 players in the second half, the French commentators were still surprised. I'm not at all a sports fan but I have some serious football fever now! Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see Caribbean people performing at a stellar standard on the world stage. Whatever happens next in the series, Trinidad & Tobago can go home holding their heads up high.

Go Trinidad! I was very impressed by their play, even though all the commentators were stunned (hahaha). I also loved that so many supporters turned out. I actually saw this guy I know who used to work in Antigua. Looked like so much fun!
