Where does inspiration strike you? I've realised lately that the three places that I get ideas the most are (1) while walking (2) while in the shower and (3) just before falling asleep at night or just after waking up in the morning. Stacy Julian talked about this in her book The Big Picture - she said that the trick is to combine an opportunity to reflect with a task that requires minimal attention - and it is so true.
Whenever I am trying to work my way through something I either go for a walk or take a nice long shower. Lately it's been more the shower - with this heat walks aren't much fun - and most nights I flip through scrapbooking magazines before going to bed so lots of ideas are in my head to be worked on.
These three ways are how I got the seeds of my entry for Making Memory Masters. Yep, I decided at the last minute to enter this year. It's one of the few major contests that scrappers outside of the US and Canada can enter, and that plus my desire to challenge myself is what prompted me to go for it. I'll let you know when I send it off later this week.
Another thing that inspires me? New stuff! Just received my goodies from the challenge I won on Serendipity Scrapbooks.
I'm off to scrap, see you later!
