Summer Food

With the hot days we've been having lately (although it's raining today, but hopefully that will be temporary), I have been craving fresh cool meals. And Lucas, bless him, is more than up to the task.

Cantaloupe melon with liquor and smoked ham, followed by a tomato and feta salad

or fig and rocamadour sandwiches with a fresh green salad.

Then I discovered this blog, Smitten Kitchen , with this recipe for Israeli Salad which I will try as soon as I find some sumac, the secret ingredient. I also recently bought a coriander plant, and along with the red onions we got yesterday, a bowl of fresh salsa isn't far away.

Have I mentioned before just how much I love summer?
